Leave a Legacy
By leaving a gift in your will to Proud2Be, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of LGBTQIA+ people for generations to come. Your legacy will help us continue to support those who need it most, providing safe spaces and essential services that empower individuals to live authentically and proudly.
Why Leave a Legacy?
- Create lasting change: Your legacy gift will ensure that Proud2Be can continue our work long into the future, offering vital services to LGBTQIA+ individuals, especially those who are vulnerable, isolated, or at risk.
- Support our vision: We believe in a world where everyone can be proud of who they are, without fear of judgment or discrimination. Your contribution will help us build this future.
- Help future generations: A legacy donation means that young LGBTQIA+ people will have access to community support and opportunities for growth and development.
How Your Legacy Will Help
Your gift will allow Proud2Be to:
- Continue offering safe and supportive spaces for LGBTQIA+ young people and adults.
- Provide vital mental health support services to those in need.
- Expand our services to support even more LGBTQIA+ people.
How to Leave a Legacy Gift
Leaving a gift in your will is a simple process and can be done with the help of your solicitor or will-writing service. There are different types of legacy gifts you can consider:
- A residuary gift: This is a share or percentage of your estate after all other gifts and debts have been paid.
- A pecuniary gift: A specific sum of money that you wish to leave to Proud2Be.
- A specific gift: An item of value, such as property, shares, or valuable possessions, that you wish to donate.
Suggested Wording for Your Will
If you decide to include Proud2Be in your will, we recommend using the following wording:
“I give [insert percentage of estate/residuary gift/specific amount/item] to Proud2Be CIC, registered company number 08070631, of 1 Sheila Robb House, Oak Place, Newton Abbot, Devon, TQ12 2EX, for its general charitable purposes.”
